Ryland Peters & Small publishes beautifully produced illustrated books that combine inspirational photography and cutting-edge design with accessible, elegantly written text full of practical information. Our main subject areas are food and drink, interiors and style, body and soul, and gardening. We also publish a wide range of notecards, journals and address books, and our catalogue is full of wonderful gift ideas.

If you need to contact one of our authors, photographers, illustrators or stylists, send a letter to the London address shown on the Contact us Page and we will send it on to them.
What shall I do if I have an idea for a book?
If you have a book idea you would like us to consider for publication, please write (by email or post) to our Publishing Director, Alison Starling, enclosing a brief outline of the idea and a note about yourself, summarizing relevant experience and published work, and include your email address. Bear in mind the subject areas in which we publish and that our books are aimed at an international market, so the idea must travel! We cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any material you supply.
I am a photographer, illustrator or stylist. Can I submit my portfolio?
We are always keen to see exciting new creative work, but we receive many submissions and cannot review everyone’s portfolio. Before asking for an appointment, please send some sample reproductions of your work to our Art Director, Leslie Harrington, by email, or by post to the London office, enclosing a note about yourself, summarizing relevant experience, and contact details. We cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any material you supply.
